The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Lafia branch said it will support Ministry of Lands and urban development in the areas of Advocacy and enlightenment because the ministry has direct bearings with the works of lawyers.
The chairman, NBA Lafia 2branch Barrister Joseph A. Kigbu stated this when he led the officials of the association on a visit to the 2Ministry of Lands and urban development, Lafia.
Barrister kigbu said the association is focusing on developmental driven legal practice in Nasarawa state , having identified a development drive of Governor, Engr, Abdullahi Sule, in his words ” we want to key in for the purpose of development even if we are not politicking, we have to politic for the purpose of development”.
The chairman also said if the state government and the Ministry would embark on policies and programs that will development the state they will not bring litigations to stop it instead they will support the program by way of enlightening the people on the importance of such program.
Responding the Commissioner of the ministry, Mohammed Nuhu Sarki appreciated NBA Lafia branch for the visit adding that the ministry is always ready to partner the Association in order to move the state forward. He said as a technical Ministry it will honor invitation by any court of law.
In her remark the permanent secretary, Hajia Hauwa Aliyu Oga congratulate the NBA officials who were recently swore into office and wish them the best īn their legal practice.
